The Amovil Project has been presented in Vienna as a part of the Zero Project Conference, as one of the best innovative practices in accessibility. The conference seeks to promote innovative practices and policies developed around the world designed to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Zero Project is an initiative led by the Essl Foundation in collaboration with the World Future Council and the European Foundation Centre, that works for a world without barriers according to the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Its mission is to research innovative practices and innovative policies worldwide that help to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

These practices and policies are communicated to governmental institutions, NGO’s and academics to encourage them to find solutions to accessibility issues that affect persons with different kind of disabilities around the world.

Amóvil is a website designed to help persons with disabilities find accessible mobile devices that also accommodate their needs and preferences. The project is led by Spain-based, ONCE Foundation, developed by Technosite and sponsored by the Vodafone Spain Foundation.
