The ONCE Foundation and the Vodafone Spain Foundation renewed their agreement in order to position Amóvil as a leading website helping persons with disabilities identify accessible mobile devices, applications, as well as available assistive devices and services.

A central objective of the agreement is to make Amóvil a unique accessible information tool, and to set up a collaborative network comprising accessibility experts in order to enrich the information gathered by the website, and keep it up to date.

As a part of the new agreement Amóvil will be offering a series of workshops on accessible mobile technology in order to explain the criteria mobile devices must meet in order to be universally accessible.

These workshops aim to raise awareness among manufacturers and developers about the importance of providing access to technology to all persons regardless of their limitations.

Amóvil is a Project led by Fundación ONCE, developed by Technosite, and sponsored by the Vodafone Spain Foundation, that was made possible thanks to co-funding by Spain’s Ministry of Industry through its AVANZA plan.

The project relies on a methodology that has been tested and validated in similar projects such INREDIS and AEGIS carried out by Technosite and Fundación ONCE and Vodafone Spain Foundation.
