Odin Mobile is a new mobile virtual network operator that will be offering special services to customer with vision disabilities with the purpose of improving wireless accessibility to these users in the United States.
According to the information posted on their site, the goal of this service is to narrow the existing gap "between the extent to which the blind and visually impaired use mobile services and the extent to which the general population uses mobile services."
Beginning in July, Odin Mobile will offer a special cell phone service for people with vision disabilities, including innovative accessible handsets, rate plans for every budget, as well as a specialized customer service offered by accessibility experts. They will also work with manufacturers to innovate and provide solutions to address the needs of the visually impaired.
