Nokia, in collaboration with Code Factory, has released a new version of Mobile Speak, the screen reader for Symbian Devices. The latest v5.90 of Mobile Speak is the first available for downloading directly from the Nokia Store which will enable users save time and money.

Amóvil reviewed the BlackBerry Bold 9790 thanks to a loan by the Vodafone Spain Foundation and confirmed that while it complies with some accessibility requirements, Amóvil cannot recommend this Smartphone to persons with disabilities.

Apple seems to have taken a step backwards regarding accessibility with the launching of the iOS7, the operating system running on the iPhone 5C. While it still offers solutions that meet the needs of different types of disabilities, persons with low vision who acquire this device may have a difficult time perceiving some of the elements in the display. The device’s new interface design lacks sufficient contrast, and some of the items may be imperceptible to these users.
